Sgt Mohammad Sufyan then discovered that Gwee did not have a valid driving licence.
Deputy Public Prosecutor (DPP) Kwek Chin Yong said Gwee had been driving without a licence for 20 to 25 years.
When the officer was about to issue him a summons, Gwee offered him "coffee money" to let him go. He turned down the bribe and Gwee was taken into a patrol car for further investigations.

Gwee was fined S$12,600 on Friday for traffic offences and for trying to bribe aTraffic Police Officer. He was also disqualified from driving all classes of vehicles for seven years.
