Martin Tan Chye Guan, 48, dubbed the "heartbeat molester", had molested 28 girls aged between seven and 12, and is believed to be Singapore's worst serial molester.
Tan had targeted young girls at different locations, including Hougang, Tampines and Woodlands, usually using the same method to gain their trust.
He would approach girls who were walking home alone from school and ask them for directions.
He would then lure them to staircase landings and, once away from public view, ask them to feel his heartbeat.
Tan, who was a parcel courier with Singapore Post and a part-time property agent, committed the offences between Feb 1 1999, and Oct 8 last year.
On Friday, he pleaded guilty to eight of the 28 charges against him.
He was jailed for 10 years and ordered to be given 21 strokes of the cane.
