Arsenal have shelled out £2million, fending off interest from Manchester United, Chelsea, Fulham and West Ham; to bring in Charlton Athletic's highly-rated defender Carl Jenkinson.
The player's contract runs out during the summer, and has rejected a new deal to stay at the Valley, and with the clock ticking.
The 19 year old has played for England at youth level, but has also been capped thrice for Finland's Under-21, who he is eligible to play for through his mother.
