A 73-year-old woman died on Friday after falling unconscious in a steam bath the previous week, reported The Straits Times.

Madam Loh Yoke Chan (pictured, inset), a hair salon owner, was found unconscious by the staff of the skincare centre which provided the steam bath facilities. They had entered the steam room to check on Madam Loh after she failed to emerge from the steam room on time.
Her daughter, Ms Elizabeth Tan, 36, told The Straits Times that her mother had suffered from heatstroke, second-degree burns and multi-organ failure. Mdm Loh was warded in the intensive care unit of National University Hospital for eight days and never regained consciousness.
The police are investigating the case as an unnatural death.
