"The train was heading towards HarbourFront when service was disrupted at Chinatown station.
"We were all stuck in the train for about 20 minutes before the train proceeded to Outram station, where we were forced to alight and take alternative transport.
"I'm not sure what the cause of the disruption was, but I heard it was due to some fault with the train tracks.
"The bus stop nearest to the station was so full of people that many of us decided to move to a bus stop at the other end.
"However, even the buses that stopped there were full.
"I had to wait for about 10 to 15 minutes for the free shuttle service to arrive."
