Obese man fused to chair for two years dies

The 43-year-old man from Bellaire, Ohio, had been found unconscious sitting in his own faeces and urine and covered in maggots at the house. The house was also reported to be in a 'deplorable' condition.

Rescuers had to cut a hole in the wall of his house as they could not remove him from his recliner. He was in critical condition and later died in hospital.

The man insisted on eating, drinking and sleeping on his chair and his girlfriend admitted to feeding him by hand everyday as he was too big to get up.
