Nothing is bigger than cricket in India - not democracy, not religion, nor its film industry. In the end, India won, but to a worthy opponent.

"The game was fantastic. We had a great game. India played a fantastic match. Now we are sure of winning the World Cup also and keeping the cup in India," said a cricket fan.
Kriti Samtani, another cricket fan, said: "We were not sure that we were going to win but our team really played well and we enjoyed it a lot."

India go on to meet Sri Lanka in the first-ever, all-Asian final. Both sides have each lifted the cup once before.
The recent Commonwealth Games were so tainted with corruption scandals that Indians desperately want something to be proud of, with regards to sports.

The final on Saturday will also be the last World Cup match for cricket icon, Sachin Tendulkar, who is poised at a tantalizing 99 centuries so far. All eyes will be on him to see if he can complete his hundredth hundred.
