Earlier at about 10:08 p.m (PST), police responded to Kent's Lakes neighborhood after a report of a weapon being discharged.
The two officers at first couldn't find the source of the shots, but more 911 calls from local residents helped narrow down the location. Officers found a man with a gun at 23300 61st Ave. S., at Bayview Townhomes.
The officers confronted the 63-year-old man, who then pointed the gun at them. He was shot.
The two officers involved in the incident were not hurt.
