Gallas extends Spurs contract by two years

The 33-year-old William Gallas joined Spurs on a one-year deal last summer after failing to agree a new contract with Arsenal, and has gone on to make 28 appearances for Harry Redknapp's side this season.

Gallas, who is currently out injured, has gone on to be a key figure in Tottenham's progression into the Champions League quarter-finals and made a vital goal-line clearance during the decisive draw with AC Milan in the last 16.


"The experienced France defender has impressed at the heart of our defence since joining the club and we are glad to announce that he has signed a two-year contract extension which runs until 2013," Tottenham said in a statement.
