Tottenham 0 West Ham 0
Tottenham blew the chance to close the gap on the top four as West Ham boosted their own hopes of beating the drop at White Hart Lane.

Harry Redknapp's side failed to build on their memorable victory over AC Milan in the Champions League and will know this was a missed opportunity after hitting the woodwork three times.

Robert Green was outstanding in the West Ham goal and both Matthew Upson and Wayne Bridge produced outstanding displays to keep the Tottenham forwards at bay.

Manchester United 1 Bolton 0
Dimitar Berbatov struck with two minutes to go as United returned to winning ways in the Barclays Premier League.

The Bulgarian, who has fallen out of favour in recent weeks, climbed over the bench to rescue the Red Devils, who appeared to be labouring to a stalemate.

It was tough on Bolton, who frustrated United for much of the afternoon, restricting them to few chances.

West Brom 2 Arsenal 2
After defeat in the Carling Cup final, then being dumped out of the Champions League and FA Cup all in the space of 13 days, defeat at the Hawthorns would have put a serious dent in the Londoners' Premier League ambitions.

And for 70 minutes of this game defeat looked highly likely, courtesy of goals to Albion's Steven Reid and Peter Odemwingie, before Andrei Arshavin pulled a goal back, and Robin van Persie equalised in the 78th minute.

Everton 2 Fulham 1
On an afternoon of comebacks in the English Premier League, Everton managed to hang on to a two goal buffer, despite Clint Dempsey's second half strike for Fulham putting the pressure on in the last half hour.

Seamus Coleman opened the scoring with a 36th-minute header and Louis Saha rifled home just after the break, and although Dempsey pulled one back with a precise finish, it was not enough for Mark Hughes' men.

The home side flew out of the blocks and sprayed shots at the Fulham goal. A succession of corners followed but Fulham custodian Mark Schwarzer was not given too much to do in the opening stages.

Eventually defender Coleman showed the Everton forwards how it is done when he headed his side ahead 10 minutes before the break.
