TAKOMA PARK, Md. — A Maryland bank robbery suspect is dead after being shot when he slipped and fell on snow and lost hold of a hostage.
Officials in Prince George's County in the Washington suburbs said Friday at least two other civilians were injured, as well as a police officer. The injuries were not life-threatening.
Video showed a man walking out of a Capitol One Bank in Takoma Park using a woman as a shield. Police say the suspect was holding a gun to the hostage's head.
