The FAS announced Sundram's appointment yesterday and the role is the first of its kind here.

Known as the "Dazzler" during his heyday in the mid-1980s to the first half of the 1990s, Sundram was a striker blessed with great touch, deft dribbling skills and an eye for goal.

He will train players in the FAS's National Football Academy, Centres of Excellence as well as the Young Lions and is looking forward to grooming the country's future generation of strikers.
