Cracked windshield forces SIA plane to land

A SINGAPORE Airlines plane that was bound for Melbourne early Monday morning was forced to turn back because of a crack in the first officer's windshield.

MediaCorp reported that SQ237 had to fly back to Singapore about one hour after take-off. The Boeing 747-400 left Singapore at 11.52pm on Sunday evening and touched down in Singapore at 2.43am.

The flight left Singapore for Melbourne later at 4.42am on Monday morning after changing aircraft.
