5 Hurt in Police Car-related Accident

A SUV was making a turn on Lee Street near Donnelly Avenue when it was hit by an unmarked police car with its lights and sirens on.

Police officials said the police car was on the way to an active call when the accident occured.

The officer driving the police cruiser was hurt, and he, along with the four people in the SUV -- two women, a 6-year-old and a 2-year-old, were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital to be checked out. All were said to be in stable condition late Monday afternoon, and all were expected to be okay.
