A boy narrowly escaped when the ceiling board of a lift fell on him.
However, investigations revealed that the boy was the culprit who caused the ceiling board to fall.
The incident occurred at lift B at Block 228 Choa Chu Kang.
CCTV footage released by the Hong Kah Town Council showed that he had climbed on the railings in the lift to touch the ceiling of the newly installed lift.
The boy sustained only a few scratches on his left arm.
A spokesman from Hong Kah Town Council said:
"... We hope the boy is recovering well and we would be grateful if the boy or his parents could contact the Town Council to assist us to further investigate the case."
