23 KL pedestrian bridges and walkway unsafe, say police

Police in Kuala Lumpur have singled out 23 pedestrian bridges and a busy walkway as too dangerous to cross, with poor lighting and visibility making the crossings ideal for crime.

Federal Territories Gerakan anti-crime and public safety bureau chief Lim Teck Ang, who disclosed the list, said police expressed concern about the walkway linking the KL Sentral train station to the Brickfields monorail station, reported The Star.

KL's City Hall has been stung into action, with officials pledging to repair or upgrade the listed crossings within the next two weeks.
