MORE than 11,000 Honda cars here are due for a recall to have their faulty headlamp wiring fixed.
According to the Land Transport Authority (LTA), 7,897 Honda Jazz and 3,328 Honda Fit cars are affected.
According to Honda Motor, the flaw has to do with a wire harness leading to the headlight switch that is too short.
Honda said in a statement that the fault could cause increased resistance, which could in turn lead to heat generated, resulting in malfunctioning headlights.
