Officers from Ang Mo Kio Police Division were staking out when they spotted an Indian man tailing an elderly female Chinese along Sembawang Drive. Sensing that something could be amiss, the officers moved in on the man and conducted a search. A knife was found in his possession and he was immediately placed under arrest. Investigations revealed he is believed to be responsible for the spate of robberies in Sembawang estate.
