The film adaptation of The A-Team may not be as brilliant as J J Abrams' Star Trek, but it is almost as enjoyable.
The updated plot, if you can call it a plot, does not veer far from the phenomenally popular series.
Special Forces soldiers of fortune Colonel John "Hannibal" Smith (Liam Neeson), Face (Bradley Cooper), B A Baracus (Quinton "Rampage" Jackson) and Howling Mad Murdoch (Sharlto Copley) are forced to go rogue after they are framed for a crime they did not commit.
The guys, after spending the last eight years as the military's go-to-guys for black ops, get caught up in the retrieval of money-printing plates during the final days of the American occupation of Iraq.
Throw in a mysterious CIA agent named Lynch (well-played by a wily Patrick Wilson), the requisite love-interest babe (Jessica Biel), over-the-top action sequences, and the subtly inserted theme song with recognisable cameos, and voila, instant Hollywood blockbuster.
