Man stabbed in Marsiling

A 46-YEAR-OLD man was fatally stabbed on Monday night near a coffeeshop in Marsiling Lane.

Police were notified of a brawl that had broken out between two men at around 10.30pm, at Block 19 Marsiling Lane. When they arrived minutes later, they found odd-job labourer Lim Chin Leong with a stab wound to the left side of his neck.

Mr Lim was believed to have been having drinks with a group of friends when he walked away towards a carpark - about 20m away - to answer a phone call. It was then that another man came up from behind and stabbed him on the neck.

He staggered a few metres, before collapsing.

A 50-year-old man is now assisting the police in their investigations. MORE
