LARGE stretches of Stevens, Evans and Bukit Timah Road, as well as Orchard Road were submerged in floodwaters on Wednesday morning following heavy downpour, forcing traffic to a crawl in the areas.
Two lanes of Stevens and Evans Road were impassable to traffic, with floodwaters reaching almost half a metre deep. Over at Serene Centre in Bukit Timah area, the shop-fronts were flooded, aggravated by nearby construction works, which turned the area into a muddy pool.
The common areas in front of Ion Orchard and Ngee Ann City were also ankle deep in floodwaters.
