Female body found near Yishun Dam

A female body was discovered along Yishun Avenue 1, near Yishun Dam, on Friday morning (Dec 19) and retrieved to shore by Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) officers.

SCDF told Channel 8 News that it received a call for assistance at 9.45am, and despatched a Red Rhino, a fire engine and an ambulance to the scene. 

Upon arrival, they discovered the body of a Chinese female, and brought her to shore. The age of the dead female was not known.

The incident has been classified by the police as unnatural death. However, Channel NewsAsia understands that there are no indications of foul play. Investigations are still ongoing, police said.
