Four-time NBA champion Horace Grant to headline NBA 3X in Singapore

Those with hoop dreams, consider your wishes 'Grant-ed'. Four-time NBA champion Horace Grant will be in Singapore next month, as NBA 3X returns on Sep 26 - 28. 

The event, now into its second year, will take place at the Singapore Sports Hub.

Organisers said in a news release on Wednesday (Aug 27) that former NBA All-Star and ex-Chicago Bulls and LA Lakers player Grant, also known as "The General", will be running basketball clinics, and will also interact with fans through community events.

"I'm excited for my first trip to Singapore for NBA 3X," he said. "I have travelled all over the world promoting NBA 3X, a great platform that provides an opportunity for fans not only to play competitively against each other, but also to soak in the unique NBA experience and atmosphere."

Last year's NBA 3X saw 100 teams participating. This year's event features a slam dunk contest and 3-point shootouts, among other challenges. Registration is open for a competitive 3x3 tournament for categories such as boys under-18, under-16, and under-13, and for girls under-18. It closes on Sep 19.
