Everton sign England U19 defender Brendan Galloway from MK Dons
Everton have signed England Under-19 defender Brendan Galloway from MK Dons for an undisclosed fee.

Galloway, 18, has agreed a five-year contract and will start his career at Goodison Park in the Barclays Under-21 Premier League, with Everton opening their Division 1 campaign at home to Leicester City on Monday 18 August. In the long term Galloway is eyeing a first-team place and hopes learning from Sylvain Distin and Phil Jagielka will boost his chances.

Newcastle complete loan move for Shakhtar forward Ferreyra
Newcastle United have completed the transfer of Facundo Ferreyra from Shakhtar Donetsk on a season-long loan, their seventh signing of the summer.

Ferreyra, 23, is striker who scored six times in Europe for Shakhtar and his loan to St James’ Park includes an option to buy at the end of the 2014/15 season. He has joined his new Newcastle team-mates in Germany as they take part in this weekend's Schalke 04 Cup.

Newcastle United swoop for Nottingham Forest duo
Newcastle United have completed the signings of Nottingham Forest duo Jamaal Lascelles and Karl Darlow.

Centre-half Lascelles, 20, and goalkeeper Darlow, 23, have signed long-term deals with the Magpies and will return to Nottingham Forest on loan for the 2014/15 campaign.
