Singaporean artist Teo Peng Seng, 69, was brutally beaten to death in his Paris bungalow on Saturday.

He was found lying on the first floor of his house and pieces of scotch tape were stuck on the back of his head.

He had wounds all over his body and was barely alive when he was found.

Despite attempts to revive him, Teo was pronounced dead at 6.40am local time, French newspaper Le Parisien reported.

Mr Teo, who had been living in France for over 30 years, worked as a portrait artist in the popular tourist district of Montmartre.
