Chai Chee residents now have one more option when travelling to the Bedok MRT Station and bus interchange, with the introduction of the new peak-period short service 222P.

The service, run by private bus operator ComfortDelGro, is meant to ease crowding, reduce waiting time and improve bus reliability during peak hours.

Operating from Bedok MRT Station, Service 222P plies portions of the route currently run by feeder bus service 222.

The new service, which operates on a 12-minute frequency during the morning and evening peak hours, will travel along New Upper Changi Road, Chai Chee Road, Chai Chee Street and Chai Chee Drive before heading back to the MRT station.

Service 222P is one of five new peak-period short bus services that have been launched progressively.

The short bus services are part of the S$1.1 billion Bus Service Enhancement Programme launched in September 2012.
