SEA Games: Four golds for Singapore swimmers on third day of competition
A great outing for Singapore's swimmers on day 3 of the SEA games swimming competition -- four gold medals for Team Singapore, as Tao Li and Joseph Schooling led the charge for the republic.

In the women's 100m Backstroke, Tao Li, the SEA Games record holder in the event, powered her way to gold with a time of 1:00.247s. Vietnam took silver and Thailand bronze.

Tao Li was back in action in the 100m butterfly race, winning her second gold medal for the night with a time of fifty nine point eight seven seconds.

A one-two for Singapore, with Quah Ting Wen finishing second while Filipino Jasmine Alkhaldi ended third.

In the 100m men's Butterfly, Joseph Schooling took gold in style, his third in Myanmar. His time of 52.67s is a new SEA games record.

18-year old Schooling also anchored Singapore in the 4x100m freestyle relay event. The Singaporean quartet, secured gold with a SEA Games record time of 3:21.74s.

Singapore through to football semi-finals after 1-1 draw with Malaysia
Singapore are assured of a semi-final spot in the SEA Games football tournament, following a 1-1 draw with rivals Malaysia on Sunday evening.

Afiq Yunos opened the scoring after 61 minutes, firing home from close range after central-defensive partner Safuwan Baharudin's header had come back off the post.

But just as it looked like the Young Lions would seal top spot in Group A, substitute Rozaimi Abdul Rahman scored with a stoppage-time free kick to keep Malaysia in pole position to join them in the semi-finals at the expense of Vietnam.

The late goal also means that Aide Iskandar's side will have to wait on the result of Tuesday's clash between Malaysia-Vietnam to see if they progress as group winners or runners-up.
