Police are still looking for 10 followers of the Tuhan Harun cult to facilitate investigations into the murder of the Pahang Islamic Religious Department (Jaip) enforcement chief.
Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar, who revealed this at a press conference here, said the recent arrest of 13 Tuhan Harun cult members, including two women, and the seizure of a pistol, meant police were on the verge of solving the case.
He added that they believed the 10 people were still hiding in the country.
The cult members were linked to the death of 49-year-old Ahmad Rafli Abdul Malek. During the incident on Nov 10, he was shot dead at his house in Indera Mahkota 2, Kuantan, after a man wearing a skullcap and dressed in black called out to him.
Federal police released the names and photos of the 10 wanted cult members. The details of the individuals and their last known addresses were posted on the Royal Malaysia Police's Facebook page yesterday.
On Nov 20, police arrested cult leader Harun Mat Saad along with two suspects following raids in two separate locations in Tangkak, Johor.
Those with information can contact DSP Zakaria at 019-3822020, ASP Zukri (013-9764999) or Insp Mohd Hasni (016-4888025).
