ERP rates down by S$1 at several gantries for school holidays

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) said it is reducing Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) rates by S$1 at a number of expressways and roads for the year-end school holidays.

The affected locations in the morning are —

• Ayer Rajah Expressway (AYE) before Alexandra Road, 
• Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE), 
• southbound Central Expressway (CTE) before and after Braddell Road, 
• southbound CTE slip road to Pan Island Expressway (PIE) towards Changi or Serangoon Road, 
• East Coast Parkway (ECP) Ophir Road, 
• PIE (Adam and Mount Pleasant), 
• Pan Island Expressway (PIE) Kallang Bahru, 
• Bendemeer Road, 
• Woodsville Tunnel and 
• Dunearn Road

The affected locations in the evening are —

• northbound CTE after PIE, 
• ECP Fort Road and 
• Kallang-Paya Lebar Expressway (KPE) slip road to ECP

At gantries and during time belts where the usual charge is S$1 or less, motorists will not have to make any ERP payment during the school holiday period.

The reduced rates will apply from this Saturday (Nov 16) to Dec 31, and will revert to the pre-school holiday rates on Jan 2.

ERP rates at other gantries remain unchanged.

Also in line with the year-end school holidays, the Vehicle Entry Permit (VEP) operating hours will end earlier at noon on weekdays from Saturday to Dec 31 this year.

The LTA said drivers of foreign-registered cars and motorcycles need not pay any VEP fees for the day if they drive into Singapore after noon and leave by 2am the following day on weekdays during this period.

VEP fees remain non-chargeable on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
