Wanted Singaporean cabby Quah Tee Keon surrendered himself to Kuala Lumpur police after 15 days on the run, but not before he made a series of outrageous allegations and claims to two newspapers.
He had allegedly stabbed his Malaysian wife, Ms Loong Mei Ling, 33, after slashing her alleged lover, Mr Ruan Chao Kiang, 32, to death in the early hours of Oct 13.
The cabby, who is reportedly 47 years old, claimed that the police have not been able to find the murder weapon, and this would work to his advantage.
“I’m confident in myself and I believe in justice. I will surely be safe and sound,” he told Shin Min Daily News yesterday.
He also related how he had eluded the police in the 15 days by disguising himself.
