Three items, believed to be airsoft guns, were found by the police at the Upper Seletar Reservoir on Saturday afternoon (Oct 12).

Responding to a query about the police cordon from STOMP, a police spokesperson said:

"Police received a call on Oct 12 at about 1.15pm requesting for assistance at Upper Seletar Reservoir.

"Upon police's arrival, it was established that three items, believed to be airsoft guns, were found.

"Police investigations are ongoing."

Under the Arms and Explosives guidelines set out by the authorities, airsoft guns are not allowed to be imported into or exported from Singapore via parcel post. Offenders who are found importing them into Singapore without approval or a licence may face a fine not exceeding $100,000 and/or imprisonment for up to three years.
