Teacher killed for confiscating mobile phone

According to a report from Chinasmack, a teacher known as Sun X from No.2 High School of Fuzhou Linchuan, had confiscated a 12-grader's mobile phone after he found him playing with the device during recess.

The student's parents were required to come down to the school to retrieve the device.

The next day, the student went to the vice-principal's office to complain about the incident, but left after mediation.

About 3 hours later the student went to the teacher's office and cut his throat with a fruit knife, severing his carotid artery and killing him instantly.

Sun X was a well loved chemistry teacher, and had even coached a student who won the National High School Olympics Chemistry competition.

He leaves behind a daughter who is yet to turn 1.
