Cops kills wife and father-in-law, then turns gun on himself

A 29-year-old police lance corporal shot and killed his wife and father-in-law using his service revolver, before turning the same weapon on himself yesterday.

The man shot his wife at their home in Felda Chemplak in Labis, Segamat, with the .38 revolver, before taking their 3-year son with him on an hour's drive to Tangkak.

He used the same weapon to gun down his father-in-law at his home in Jalan Sialang, Batu 17, at 7pm.

He later shot himself. He died on the spot, while his father-in-law, who was shot twice in the head, died at Tangkak Hospital.

The dead were identified as Fadzly Omar, his wife, Norakmal Abdul Kadir, 26, a school clerk, and his father-in-law, Abdul Kadir Md Arif, 65, a businessman.
