Two men arrested for stealing from resort-goers at Pulau Ubin

Police have arrested two men believed to be behind two cases of theft that occurred at a Pulau Ubin resort in May and July this year.

The suspects targeted resort-goers who were kayaking or swimming, and had left their belongings unattended, the police said on Friday.

One of the suspects would serve as a lookout while the other would rummage through the unattended bags and steal the victims' wallets and handphones. In one of the cases, the two men forced open a locker and stole the items inside.

Police Coast Guard investigators managed to identify the suspects with the help of CCTV footage and descriptions from witnesses.
