MOE issues alert on Facebook ads that feature unauthorised use of its logo

The Ministry of Education (MOE) has sent out an alert to inform the public of Facebook advertisements claiming to offer degrees, that feature its logo without authorisation.

The alert, which was put on MOE's website and Facebook page on August 14, advised the public to conduct checks on the authenticity of the degrees offered.

When queried, MOE said it had nothing to do with the websites or companies behind the advertisements.

Channel NewsAsia understands there could be more than one company involved, with some possibly located overseas and others that are fake companies.
