Dumex recalls infant milk formula after NZ bacteria scare

Following Fonterra's alert that some batches of its whey protein concentrate may have been contaminated by the bacteria Clostridium botulinum, AVA has confirmed that there has been no import of the affected Fonterra brand dairy products from New Zealand to Singapore.

However, Danone Dumex has voluntarily recalled two batches of Mamil Gold PreciNutriTM Step 2 After 6 Months Follow-up Formula as a precautionary measure.

Other infant milk powder products available in Singapore are not affected.

Consumers who have purchased the affected products should not feed it to their infants and should instead contact Danone Dumex at 1800-265-3188 or careline@dumex.sg for a full refund or exchange.

Consumers who have already been using the affected products and who may be concerned about its effects on their infants should consult a doctor.
