Tottenham have completed the record signing of Roberto Soldado from Valencia.
Having relied heavily on Gareth Bale's scoring prowess last year, Spurs manager Andre Villas-Boas made signing a striker his priority this summer and that search has ended after Soldado completed his move to White Hart Lane this afternoon.
The Spain international, who scored 30 goals in 46 appearances for Valencia last season, is thought to have cost Tottenham around £26million - making him the most expensive acquisition in the Barclays Premier League club's history.
