Woman arrested in connection with murder of son at West Coast Road

A 31-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the murder of her nine-year-old son.

The police received a call on Saturday at 6.08pm, requesting assistance at Block 704 West Coast Road.

Police said they found the boy unconscious at the foot of the block. He was then sent to National University Hospital (NUH), where he succumbed to his injuries and died about an hour later at 7.03pm.

Police said the woman will be charged in court for murder on Monday.

If convicted, she faces the death penalty.
