Truck catches fire on CTE near Moulmein exit, causes big jam

According to an AsiaOne reader, a burning pickup truck was seen on the Central Expressway (CTE) near Moulmein exit at about 10pm yesterday, causing a huge jam.

HL said: "(It was) a pick up. I posted the pic the moment I saw it. (It) caused a jam all the way to cte entrance near le meridien.

"Only saw a police car near it"

Another road user Tan diya posted on Twitter: "Burning lorry on shoulder of CTE near Moulmein exit. What number to call?”

According to Twitter user Ian Tang, the truck diver was seen escaping the vehicle safely.
