T-Team coach Peter Butler who was rested by the club’s management a month ago was glad that the ’30-day’ period was over and was eager to report back for duty. But the situation has been complicated.
That was what the former Kelantan coach found out on Thursday when he returned to Terengganu. The Englishman wasted no time and expressed his thoughts, as he always does, on social networking site Twitter.
In one of the posts, Butler also tagged Terengganu Chief Minister Dato Seri Ahmad Said as he aired his grievances to one of the state's most powerful individuals.
“..been informed I am now free from relieve of duties (sic), but been informed I have to pay my own flight and expenses to Singapore?” posted Butler.
T-Team are currently lying in 11th position, in the relegation zone, in the Malaysian Super League and will travel to Singapore to face league leaders LionsXII at the Jalan Besar Stadium on Saturday, May 11.
But while it is still unclear whether Butler will be at the bench come Saturday, the feisty coach is determined to be with his team in Singapore.
“Really looking forward to going to Jalan Besar tomorrow, always cracking atmosphere and the Lions always play good football,” posted Butler in his twitter account, before adding, “Aggh well if I have to pay I don’t mind, always love visiting Singapore – I love the food.”
