The 26-year-old was charged last month for allegedly pasting stickers at public places. The stickers bore captions such as “Press until shiok”.
Lo initially faced 15 charges, including 13 charges of mischief believed to have been committed between November 2011 and May last year.
However, the Prosecution decided to proceed with seven charges in the district court today.
Senior Counsel Philip Jeyaretnam, who represented Lo today, urged the court to impose a community service order on his client, a “first-time offender” who is “remorseful” for her actions.
Also charged today was her alleged accomplice Anthony Chong Tze Chen, who is facing three charges for offences allegedly committed between May 16 and 17 last year.
Chong's lawyer Kenneth Pereira mitigated that his client has “no risk of offending” and has a “talent for art” which he has used in a positive way such as holding art workshops at the Singapore Boys Hostel.
The district judge has ordered for a Community Service Order report, a Day Reporting Order report and a pre-sentencing report.
The case will be heard again on May 8.
