Imagine tucking into your burger and fries -- 1,518 metres above ground. Well, this will soon be a reality for visitors to Zhangjiajie's Tianmen Mountain in China.
The UNESCO site is famous for its breathtaking views, gorgeous scenery and ancient temples, reported Shanghaiist. The mountain peak will be the spot where the McDonald's restaurant will be built.
Zhangjiajie is classified by UNESCO as a World Geopark and a World Heritage Site. It was criticised for over-commercialising in the past 10 years and also inadequately disseminating knowledge of earth scienes to the public.
