The People's Action Party will hold its first rally of the Punggol by-election tonight at 8pm at the open field in front of Block 183C Rivervale Crescent, colloquially known as "Harmony Square" to residents.
The other rally site in the by-election is the open field in front of Block 128C Punggol Field Walk.
All four parties are expected to hold their first rallies this weekend, the only weekend in the nine-day campaign period.
The Singapore Police Force has issued a permit for the election meeting and said that Rivervale Crescent (between the Arulmigu Velmurugan Gnanamuneeswara Temple and Block 182) will be closed to traffic on Friday from 4pm to midnight.
They encourage members of the public to take public transport as there will likely be traffic congestion.
