Mr Steven Koh Yong Chiah, Principal of River Valley High School, is assisting the Corrupt Practices Investigations Bureau (CPIB) in its investigation, said the Ministry of Education (MOE) in a statement today.

The MOE said it was informed by the CPIB, and the ministry will be re-deploying Mr Koh to the MOE HQ as Principal (Special Projects).

"As investigations are on-going, we are unable to comment further on the case," said the MOE.

With effect from tomorrow, Mrs Teo Khin Hiang, 54, has been appointed as the new principal of River Valley High School.

The MOE said Mrs Teo "is an experienced senior education officer".

"MOE will work closely with Mrs Teo and her team at River Valley High School to ensure that school activities and programmes continue to be carried out smoothly, in the best interests of the students," said the MOE.
