Man arrested for Polaroid camera online sale scam

The police have arrested a 23-year-old man suspected to have cheated more than 50 online shoppers.

Between June and September this year, the police received numerous reports from people who had placed online orders for the purchases of Polaroid cameras and related accessories with the man. These interested buyers transferred a total of about $10,000 to the bank accounts provided by the man.

But after transferring the money, the buyers did not receive their orders nor hear from from the man again. Upon receiving the reports, officers from Jurong Police Division conducted extensive follow-up investigations and arrested the suspect.
