Group beats up man, torches his van after he struck and killed teen motorcyclist

A group of people beat up a 21-year-old man and set his van on fire in Kota Damansara following a collision which killed a teen motorcyclist.

During the 11.20pm incident on Saturday in Jalan Pekaka 8/1, the motorcyclist, a 16-year-old boy, suffered severe injuries and died on the way to the Sungai Buloh Hospital.

Some people, who had witnessed the accident, then beat up the man before torching his van.

Quick action by the police prevented the man from suffering serious injuries.

Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Arjunaidi Mohamed reminded the public not to take the law into their own hands.
