PARIS (AP) -- Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored for the sixth time in as many games as big-spending Paris Saint-Germain beat a poor Dynamo Kiev side 4-1 in their Champions League opener on Tuesday.
PSG attacked with gusto from the outset, eight years after its last appearance in the competition.
Ibrahimovic scored from the penalty spot in the 19th minute after Jeremy Menez had been fouled. Brazil defenders Thiago Silva and Alex profited from terrible marking to put the home side 3-0 ahead after little more than 30 minutes, and a rout looked possible.
But PSG dropped off in the second half and conceded a sloppy goal when Miguel Veloso's cross from the right sneaked inside the post in the 87th.
That galvanized PSG, and midfielder Javier Pastore added the fourth in injury time.
Arsenal 2, Montpellier 1
MONTPELLIER, France (AP) -- Lukas Podolski and Gervinho scored as Arsenal came back from a goal down to win 2-1 at Montpellier in their Champions League opener on Tuesday.
All the goals came in a frantic opening spell. Montpellier midfielder Younes Belhanda won and converted a penalty in the ninth minute, Podolski equalized in the 16th and Gervinho put the Gunners ahead two minutes later.
Both Arsenal players had scored in the 6-1 demolition of Southampton in the Premier League on Saturday, and their form is encouraging for a team still reeling from Robin van Persie's offseason departure to Manchester United.
Striker Olivier Giroud, signed from Montpellier to replace Van Persie, set up Podolski's goal with a clever flick.
Montpellier hit back but winger Remy Cabella struck the crossbar in the second half.
Dortmund 1, Ajax 0
DORTMUND, Germany (AP) -- Robert Lewandowski scored late to give Borussia Dortmund a winning start to its Champions League campaign with a 1-0 victory over Dutch champion Ajax Amsterdam on Tuesday.
Poland striker Lewandowski turned in the penalty area before hammering a shot beyond Kenneth Vermeer with three minutes remaining, rewarding the home side's late dominance of the game.
Mats Hummels had the chance to give Dortmund the lead from the penalty spot in the 57th minute, after Ricardo van Rhijn was adjudged to have brought down Mario Goetze, but the defender's weak effort was easily saved by Vermeer.
Ajax created the game's best chances, with Dortmund goalkeeper Roman Weidenfeller forced to make several interventions to keep the visitors at bay.
Real Madrid beat Manchester City 3-2 in Group D's other opening game.
Malaga 3, Zenit St. Petersburg 0
MALAGA, Spain (AP) -- Francisco "Isco'' Alarcon scored twice in Malaga's 3-0 win over Zenit St. Petersburg on Tuesday, giving the Spanish team a dream Champions League debut after the exit of several star players during a turbulent offseason.
Malaga led 2-0 by the 13th minute after goals by Isco and Javier Saviola. Zenit had numerous chances but failed to finish them off, and Isco struck again in the 76th minute.
Malaga was supposed to struggle this season after a financial about-face by its Qatari owners led to the sale of stars Santi Cazorla and Jose Rondon among other players
Instead, Malaga is undefeated after seven games to be second in the league and top of Group C in club football's top competition after AC Milan and Anderlecht drew 0-0 in the other match.
AC Milan 0, Anderlecht 0
MILAN (AP) -- Seven-time winner AC Milan limped to a goalless draw against Belgian side Anderlecht in Tuesday's Champions League opener in front of a more than half-empty San Siro.
Milan was hoping for a positive result after a dismal start to the season which has seen it lose its first two home games for the first time in 82 years.
However, an error-strewn performance saw Milan again fail to score at home, for the third time this campaign, and Massimiliano Allegri's team were roundly jeered off the pitch both at halftime and full time.
Anderlecht looked much the better side and only some poor finishing ensured it failed to win in Italy for the first time in its history.
Philippe Mexes was back from injury and made his first appearance of the season, but he clearly lacked match fitness and added to Milan's errors.
Porto 2, Dinamo Zagreb 0
ZAGREB, Croatia (AP) -- Lucho Gonzales and Steven Defour scored late in each half to give Porto a 2-0 victory over Dinamo Zagreb on Tuesday for a winning start in the Champions League.
Gonzales gave his team the lead with an easy finish into the net in the 41st minute after Dinamo goalkeeper Ivan Kelava deflected a cross from Alex Sandro into his path.
It was the 50th Champions League game for Porto midfielder.
Defour made the game safe when he added the second goal in injury time after Christian Atsu broke on the left side.
