About 120,000 visitors are expected to attend this weekend's games expo held at the Singapore Expo.

For the next two days, gaming enthusiasts can look forward to the latest game releases from over 40 companies at The Games Xpo (TGX).

Organised by MediaCorp (Vizpro International), the event is held for the fourth year running.

For serious gamers of Dota 2 and Counterstrike, there is also a chance to compete in the gaming world's equivalent of the Olympics.

Those who battle through the qualifying rounds in Singapore can go on to compete in the World Cyber Games finals in Kunshan, China.

Competitions for other games, such as Starcraft 2 and Tekken 6, will also be held.

And for cosplayers, a chance to dress up and win grand prizes. Organisers say they received more than double the number of cosplay entries this year.
