Man arrested for throwing mahjong table from AMK flat

Police have arrested a 39-year-old man suspected of throwing a mahjong table out from the common corridor of his flat.

On Aug 31, police received a call from a resident about a commotion at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10.

Officers managed to trace the suspect’s unit and his identity and he was placed under arrest on September 6 for an offence of Rash Act under Section 336 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224.

He will be charged in court on Sept 10.

The offence of Rash Act carries a punishment of imprisonment for a term which may extend to six months, or a fine which may extend to $2,500, or both.
