Woman uses blow-up doll to deter speeding motorists

An elderly woman in Ningbo, China, came up with a creative solution to deter motorists from speeding at a deadly traffic junction near her home.

Frustrated that police have failed to do anything to curb the number of accidents caused by speeding drivers, 67-year-old Lin Chen took matters into her own hands.

According to Chinese and UK media reports, Lin invested in a blow-up sex doll and tied it to a tree.

She even dressed the doll in sexy lingerie in a bid to grab the attention of passing drivers and slow them down.

The unusual method appears to be working, as police have reported a decrease in the number of accidents in the area.

According to the UK Metro, Lin explained that "there are a set of traffic lights near my house and the cars just shoot through them as fast as they can. It's very dangerous."

"The police aren't interested so I bought this doll and tied it to the tree."

She added: "I thought that drivers would slow down if I could give them something worth looking at."
